Okay, here I am again….

I haven’t blogged anything I promised to blog. Why?

Well, my friend’s mum died. It was very sad. And then, for good measure my computer died. And, not to forget, the funeral was on my birthday.

So, first I didn’t have the time to post and then my computer started eating everything I wrote. I actually wrote a really long post about the birthday/funeral thing and the consequences it would have, and it disappeared. But now, after reinstalling Windows and saving all my files and music onto a portable hard drive, I’m happy to say I’m back at my computer. Only, now, I have to catch up on a million things and I’m throwing a belated birthday party tomorrow and I have to go shopping and visit the library….

Just so ya know!

Busybody

Between one thing and another, I’ve been really, really busy the past month. I’ve been home for four days in the past four weeks, and I’ve had a total of three evenings that I could spend alone. Which isn’t quite enough for me. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been having lots of fun, but I am an introvert at heart. I need my alone time to recharge my batteries by playing music, baking, writing or just going for a swim or a bike ride or even a walk around the block.

Today, I have an actual day off! Yay! Of course, it’s not like I have nothing to do: I have to plan my birthday since I turn 25 in just over a week and I have a bunch of family that’ll be visiting. And my oldest friend’s mum is really ill, she’ll likely die in the next week or so. So a lot of my attention is going to taking care of my friend so she can have time with her mother. But still, I had the time to go to the farmers market this morning and catch up on emails to my international friends. And do laundry.

What I have yet to find the time for is to make my dream list for the coming year. I make a list every year, and I review last year’s list as I go. Some of the dreams have come true, some I don’t have anymore, and some are new for the coming year. The list is categorized into social, professional, personal, creative, travel, home, financial and miscellaneous lists. It keeps me focused on my life.

So, I’ll get to that list in the next couple of days, and I’ll share it with you when I’m done. Which is scary considering I am quite a private person.
